Synopsis from Goodreads: Sean Coleman is back in the latest thriller from John A. Daly, set in the mountains of Winston, Colorado.
Six months after the murder of his uncle, Sean is trying to get his life together. He’s stopped drinking, he’s taking better care of himself, and he’s working hard to keep a fledgling security business afloat. At a blood plasma bank Sean frequents to earn extra income, he meets the distraught relative of Andrew Carson, a man who went missing weeks earlier on the other side of the state, with a pool of blood in the snowy driveway of his home as the only clue to the man’s fate.
Sean decides to help in the search for Carson and quickly finds himself immersed in a world of deception, desperation, and danger—a world in which nothing is what it seems, and few can get out of with their lives.

I’m a mystery and thriller buff. A good mystery or thriller novel gets me going. Blood Trade is definitely no exception. Imagine being an outcast in your town – your previous actions causing people to dislike you or distrust you. Now realize that you are also trying to run a security firm with your reputation. That is what Sean Coleman deals with on a daily basis.
The plot of this book was interesting. What starts out as Sean investigating a murder to try and win a girl over turns into something that is so much bigger than he ever imagined. Blood Trade is an awesome read that keeps you on your toes. You never know what is going to happen next and each new piece of the puzzle that is revealed is something you’d never expect. This is not one of those “guess who did it” thrillers. You honestly can’t do that. You’ll have the ah-ha moments when your realize who did something, but you’d never guess it was that person before-hand.
John A. Daly is masterful at writing a good thriller and I can’t wait to read more thriller novels from him.
Blood Trade will be released on September 24, 2015. Grab a copy as soon as you can and read this book! You’ll be glad you did!
